| Resumo: | Public use can be characterized as the form of use of Conservation Units by its visitors mediated by its management, which will seek to reconcile these practices with conservation goals. The growth of tourism in natural areas demands the establishment of more precise parameters in relation to different practices. Thus, among studies on tourism planning in protected areas, the Rol de Oportunidades de Visitação em Unidades de Conservação can be presented as a complementary tool to the construction of the Use Plan, being used, for example, to assess the profile for use. Thus, the present work sought to initiate the first stage of general characterization of the use of the Wildlife Refuge of Ilha dos Lobos and its surroundings, proposed by the aforementioned tool. The process was adapted to the current situation of social distancing imposed by the pandemic, making use of social networks to identify the perception of the resident and visiting 205 responses were received through an online form, from 42 cities, the majority (49%) from the local community of Torres/RS and Passo de Torres/SC. "Sun and beach" was mentioned as the main form of tourism carried out by the participants. The activities contemplated with the greatest intention to carry out were diving, surfing and boating. The results present a simplified overview of the main types of tourism practiced in the territory, which may help in future discussions on the elaboration of the Use Plan to identify potential tourism to be promoted. |
