Descrição
Resumo:This article aims at discussing the concept of patrimonial art elaborated by Mário de Andrade for the ante-project of creation of the National and Artistic Patrimony Service, in 1936, as a indicial element in the trajectory of a broad conception of cultural patrimony set up in decree 3.551/2000, which instituted the register and inventory of a cultural patrimony of immaterial nature. In order to demonstrate the current relevance of the andradino project for the cultural patrimony – especially for the centrality which the inventory represents in his preservation vision – there is an attempt at reconstructing the constitutional course of this preservationist thought and practice, whose dialogue with the letters, travel diaries, chronicles, laws and literature of the period reveal sharp attunement with the modernistic projects of construction of a “Brazilianness”, which comprehends the discovery journeys to Brazil and Mario de Andrade’s experience in the Departament of Culture of São Paulo - 1935-1938.
