| Sumario: | In this article, images of science and technology are privileged places to observe different articulations between past-present-future. From Futurism, we come to understand Hartog’s hypothesis of Presentism (2013). In this specific regime of historicity, one can identify the interruption of the temporal flow in a present that is not able to absorb other temporalities. Therefore, the imaginary experience would function as the index of a paralyzing game in which the past is not faced and the future horizon is terrifying. Thus, we ask ourselves what are the symptoms of this crisis of time in the production of images about science and technology. Finally, we turn to historiography to claim the opening of the past and ways of thinking the future an expanding space of experience, and propose a horizon of expectations more determined by historical contingency, capable of producing more inclusive and dynamic images of the present. |
