| Sumario: | The inclusion of students with disabilities has been a daily challenge for educational institutions, especially in universities. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate and analyze the process of inclusion and permanence of students with disabilities in a higher education institution located in the South of Minas Gerais. The work is configured as a research with a qualitative approach and with case study characteristics. For data collection, students with disabilities were asked to respond to a questionnaire. Through the analysis it was possible to verify that it is necessary to work with the community actions related to empathy and acceptance of the differences; and with teacher educations that contemplate inclusive practices. |
