Descripción
Sumario:The intensification of the greenhouse effect caused by human actions has contributed to the promotion of catastrophic phenomena. In this sense, several sectors have proposed and implemented measures to minimize these effects. The aviation sector has developed strategies, such as the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA), created by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to offset and reduce CO2. The purpose of this study was to analyze the optional means, used by the aviation industry, to meet the ICAO guidelines. To achieve the objectives of the study, qualitative, bibliographic and patent research was conducted on the Patentscope and INPI websites. The results showed that the means to reduce CO2 emissions are: the promotion of public policies, the development of engines and more modern aircraft models, the use of biofuels, emission mitigation measures by activities at airports and the acquisition of carbon credits.
