Summary:Pestalozzi was a great Swiss educator, his name is linked to the education reform movements of the nineteenth century. The article aims to map the scientific productions about Pestalozzi through bibliometrics. For this, a research was carried out in the Capes Periodical, using the following descriptors: Pestalozzi, education, pedagogy and method. The theoretical systematization was based on the categories that underlie his work. The bibliometric study was important to quantify the studies that discuss theoretical production. It was to conceive of relationships with the new pedagogy, since it laid the foundations of modern education by designing a practical and flexible teaching system.
