| Sumario: | From albums to virtual media: The family photograph mediatization Family photographs are losing materiality. Unlike the physical albums one usually preserves at home, they are now shared through internet social media, subverting intimacy protection logics. The following discussion addresses the replacing of the worship value by the exposure value of the records. From this observation, it is possible to apprehend a change in the mnemonic paradigm that family albums establish. When in media system, personal photographs are no longer affection reliquaries, they are perishable artifacts instead. |
