| Sumario: | In this article, our focus is on the transition from kindergarten to elementary school. We aim to make considerations about the teaching of oral and written language in early childhood education and in the 1st year of elementary school, aiming to ensure a continuity of the teaching and learning process. Therefore, we adopted the following procedures: explanation of the concept of activity and main characteristics of the periodization of human development in cultural-historical psychology, in particular, the development of children from 4 to 6 years old; finally, we make some considerations about the organization of teaching in the last year of early childhood education and in the 1st year of elementary school so that a transition actually occurs, and not a disruption, in the teaching and learning process of oral and written language. |
