The specific objectives were: a) to identify antagonistic or resistant/contrary/offensive statements towards terreiro communities in TV Atalaia's news; b) to identify discursive regularities that may imply the suppression of violence directed at the rituals of African-derived religions; c) to analyze statements based solely on Christian truth to validate or invalidate the truth of African-derived religions; and d) to identify resistant statements by subjects (reporters, interviewees, presenters) against racism towards African-derived religions.The research corpus consists of ten news reports available on the broadcaster's YouTube channel, posted between 2018 and 2023. Although the news was televised, the choice to analyze it through the digital platform comes from the ease of availability of the materials, that is, it is possible to download them and access them more than once. The analyses were conducted based on the theoretical-methodological framework of discourse analysis, specifically Foucaultian archeogenealogy (1969, 1971, 1994), along with concepts such as religious racism and religious intolerance, discussed by authors like Nogueira (2020), Silva Júnior (2021), and Gigio (2023). The concept of racism was addressed based on Munanga (2010) and Santos (2022), while the notions of hostility and hospitality were mobilized from Derrida (2003). Finally, the concept of mediatization was examined based on Hjarvard (2014).The research sought to answer the following question: how does TV Atalaia mobilize discourses when reporting on religious racism? Among the findings, it was observed that Sergipe's media employs statements that reveal a lack of understanding about African-derived religions, resulting in the suppression of the deities of these religions in favor of the figure of a Christian god.

O objetivo geral da pesquisa foi compreender as escolhas enunciativas do veículo e suas possíveis regularidades ao abordar as violências dirigidas aos povos de terreiro. Os objetivos específicos foram: a) levantar os enunciados antagônicos ou de resistência/contrários/ofensivos aos povos de terreiro nas notícias da TV Atalaia; b) identificar as regularidades discursivas que podem implicar a supressão das violências destinadas aos ritos de religiões de matriz africana; c) analisar os enunciados que se baseiam apenas na verdade cristã para validar ou invalidar a verdade das religiões de matriz africana; e d) identificar os enunciados de resistência dos sujeitos (repórteres, entrevistados, apresentadores) ao racismo contra as religiões de matriz africana. O corpus da pesquisa é constituído de dez notícias disponibilizadas no canal do YouTube da emissora, postadas entre 2018 e 2023. Apesar de as notícias terem sido televisionadas, a escolha de analisá-las através da plataforma digital advém da facilidade da disponibilidade de todo o material, ou seja, é possível baixá-las e acessá-las mais de uma vez. As análises foram realizadas com base no aporte teórico-metodológico da análise do discurso, especificamente na arqueogenealogia foucaultiana (1969, 1971, 1994), além de conceitos como racismo religioso e intolerância religiosa, discutidos por autores como Nogueira (2020), Silva Júnior (2021) e Gigio (2023). O conceito de racismo foi abordado a partir de Munanga (2010) e Santos (2022), enquanto as noções de hostilidade e hospitalidade foram mobilizadas a partir de Derrida (2003). Por fim, o conceito de midiatização foi trabalhado com base em Hjarvard (2014). A pesquisa buscou responder à seguinte pergunta: como a TV Atalaia mobiliza discursos ao reportar o racismo religioso?
