| Sumario: | This article discusses the interweaving between gender studies and violence from the analysis of two movies: The revenge of Jennifer (1978), and Sweet revenge (2010). Considering that productions are linked by treating is an original work and its remake, it is said that the investigation will take place with the protagonist of the films, called Jennifer Hills, its construction and development as a character, in addition to the exposure of the antagonists that make up the plot. Also the association of the plots with the historical-social context in which they are inserted is highlighted. To do so, Content Analysis will be used, evidencing the categories Final Girl and Punishment/Violence to discuss the selected scenes. |
