This theme is part of a broader discussion about the relationship between the nation state and religious freedom in the state from the principle of secularism , assumes the role of regulator of the diversity of religious expression , operating from certain notions of what is religion , which are not necessarily given explicitly . Thus, if adopted as the object of study the various manifestations of intolerance towards african - Brazilian religions in the religious field and in relation to public space and state apparatuses . The reason for my study have focused on religious intolerance was to bring academic research the importance of the interface between the anthropological study and the legal field , from the elucidation of conflicts of african - religious field.
