| Sumario: | This paper aims at analyzing the challenges for the attention received by lesbian and bisexual women as Brazilian health services users. Based on an integrative review, articles published from 2011 to 2021 were selected from the MEDLINE, LILACS, SciELO and BDENF databases. Using the keywords “sexual and gender minorities”, “lesbians” and “bisexuals”, a total of 10 articles met the selection criteria. Misconceptions of affective and sexual practices and the lack of professional qualifications were highlighted as the main challenges. Such problems result in pathologizing homosexuality and bisexuality, as well as in lesbo-biphobic discrimination in health services that translate into corrective practices and a lack of welcoming reception. These issues result in vulnerability in practices to prevent sexually transmitted infections and uterine cervical cancer, in addition to women not seeking health services when necessary. It highlights that, even after a decade of existence of the National LGBT Comprehensive Health Policy in Brazil, it has not yet been completely incorporated into health work processes, nor promoted the guarantee of universal, integral and equitable access to the General Brazilian Health System Health for the Brazilian population. |
