| Resumo: | In this paper, we analyze the Topic Organization, one of the textual construction processes defined by Textual-Interactive Grammar, in newspaper editorials in the state of São Paulo of the 21st century. More specifically, we investigate one of the levels of operation of this process, the intertopic organization, evaluating the quantity of specific discourse topics, of Topic Frames (TF) and of hierarchical levels for each editorial, as well as the forms of topic sequencing. For this purpose, we analyze 25 editorials from Folha de S. Paulo and O Estado de S. Paulo newspapers. In addition, we use the method of topic analysis, which enables the textual analysis based on category of discourse topic. Thus, we demonstrate the editorials are characterized by high predominance of three discourse topics, of one TF and of two hierarchical levels for each editorial. Furthermore, the editorials usually present the continuity as strategy of topic sequencing. These results can be related to the fact of the editorial to be a genre of structural patterns very fixed. |
