| Sumario: | This book review analyzes Out of the dark night: essays on descolonizationby Achille Mbembe. It is about reflecting how the Cameroonian political scientist, philosopher and historian produces important tensions for contemporary political thought and, in particular, for the repositioning of epistemic, ontological and geopolitical debates from a racialized lens. Dealing with the processes of African decolonization, as an experience of emergency and revolt, Mbembe highlight the criticism of the colonial impetus and racial assumptions inscribed in the logic of a system of white supremacy, Eurocentered, which did not fail to guide the African political-economic agenda and its imaginary after decolonization. |
