Descripción
Sumario:This paper is a historical description of the Federal University Teachers’ strike in 2012. Based on João Bernardo’s concept of Marxism, the main deadlocks reached between two unions (ANDES and PROIFES) political standpoints will be discussed. The two Unions sustain divergent definitions for the central role of Federal Universities regarding the macrostructure of the Brazilian capitalist mode of production general conditions and the institutional power relations established by technocrat managers to the productive function of teachers’ work.
