Descripción
Sumario:The objective of the study was to identify how students of Certification in Physical Education for the initial series of the Faculty of Education and Social Work at the University of Valladolid, Spain, perceive formative assessment procedures used in their initial training. The methodological approach was a descriptive quantitative survey. The data collection instruments were two questionnaires containing items on the methodology and the assessment procedures implemented in the Corporal Expression discipline. Besides the questionnaires, a discussion group was organized with four students selected from those who had answered the questionnaires. The main results showed that students value the production of reports and the use of a field journal as a way to assess learning, as well as to acquire knowledge of the subject content. However, the virtual platforms were not so valued. Students appreciated the participation in the continuous and formative assessment process, since it facilitates the teaching and learning during the training process.
