| Sumario: | The research presents some reflections on the power of embroidery as condensers of transfer gestures and agents of construction of narratives of the Feminine. Reflections that propose to think of embroidery as a manual practice that acts as an instrument of visibility, illustration of affections and expressions of cultural performance, capable of building and updating narrated narratives, of possessing an organizing character, recreating new outlines for history and shaping feelings and political articulations of the feminine. Based on the study carried out through bibliographic, cartographic and immersion research, through my practice, teaching and creating embroidery by five other women in the city of Fortaleza, in the state of Ceará, I propose reflections on the transversalities and the way of thinking the embroidery as artistic making, symbolism of memories and feelings transcribed in basting, through its performative expression, the construction of imagery narratives, captured visions of the world made through the lens of emotion and the political dimension of this making. |
