Cannabis has been used for medicinal purposes for many years, however, the positive and negative effects on Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's disease are still largely unknown. Objective: to present the state of the art of publications expressed in the world Scientific literature on the subject, as well as to identify the therapeutic benefits of medicinal cannabis in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, specifically, Parkinson's diseases, multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's. Method: This is an integrative literature review, whose data search was performed in virtual librares. Web of Science, Scopus, Medline, Lilacs, Cochrane Library and Scielo from August to October 2021. Results: 158 articles were found.
