Descripción
Sumario:The article is about religious intolerance as violence, and its general objective is to describe the relationship between religious intolerance and violence in Brazil, with the specific objectives of conceptualizing religious intolerance and discussing religious manifestations as an individual right. It is based on a little about the beginning of religion in Brazil, conceptions of violence, religious intolerance, religious diversity and religious freedom, based on the Report on Religious Intolerance and Violence in Brazil, the Federal Constitution (1988) and human rights, among others. The problem question is: how did religious intolerance as a category of violence come to Brazil? To this end, it resorted to bibliographic research as a scientific methodology. It is concluded that intolerance is considered a social violence to be faced with awareness for the defense of religious freedom and respect for religious doctrines, through dialogue and knowledge.
