Descripción
Sumario:The article proposes a medieval paleographic album of Portuguese language handwriting manuscripts produced in the Middle Ages. The research consists of describing of graphic signs features such as module, angle, cursivity, superscriptions, special signs. The picture of possibilities is vast and for that reason we want to contribute with terminological adaptations that can be applied in medieval paleography studies. The first step into the research, is to publish this article, beginning with a paleographic classification of the small letters alphabet used in the manuscript of the medieval poet and writer, Christina de Pizan. Dated between 1447 and 1455, her work is a rare manuscript, translated into Portuguese and it presents possibilities to understand certain writings forms, abbreviations and general graphic signs as evolutionary scriptures’ process. Due to an unprecedent work source, we intend to contribute to larger scope of medieval manuscripts researches.
