| Sumario: | The aim of this paper is to analyze the immunity paradigm developed by Roberto Esposito in the field of biopolitics. The research is qualitative and uses Brazilian and foreign legal doctrine. The conclusion is that Esposito's notion of immunity is structurally connected with modernity, has a negative implication with community, and a sense of connection between life and power, but can destroy life if carried to the extreme. In addition, immunity influences the traditional legal-political categories of sovereignty, liberty, and property. |
