Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to identify the academic production addressing Early Childhood Education and Ethnic-Racial Relations over the past five years (2019 to 2023), as well as to analyze the scope of current research on this subject. This study follows a qualitative, bibliographic, and exploratory methodological design (Gil, 2002; Oliveira, 2010). To achieve the objectives, we conducted a scientific research on Early Childhood Education and Ethnic-Racial Relations over a five-year period (2019-2023) using two databases: Scielo and the Capes Journal Portal. The theoretical framework of this study is based on the Sociology of Childhood (Sarmento, 2007), Early Childhood Education, and Racial Relations, with contributions from Cruz (2024), Santiago (2013, 2020), and Noguera (2020). The results show that discussions in the field of Early Childhood Education have progressed two decades after the enactment of Law No. 10.639/03. However, research in this area remains limited in terms of its alignment with the legal framework and the guidelines produced from it. The evidence indicated low volume of academic production, considering the recent context of Early Childhood Education policies and legislation concerning racial issues.

Este trabajo busca identificar la producción académica que aborda la Educación Infantil y las Relaciones Étnico-raciales en los últimos cinco años (2019 a 2023), y analizar sus alcances para comprender lo que dicen las investigaciones actuales sobre el tema. Este artículo asume un diseño metodológico cualitativo, bibliográfico y exploratorio (Gil, 2002; Oliveira, 2010). Para cumplir los objetivos, realizamos un levantamiento de investigaciones científicas sobre Educación Infantil y Relaciones Étnico-raciales en cinco años (2019-2023) en dos bases de datos: Scielo y Portal de Periódicos da Capes. Los aportes teóricos se basan en la Sociología de la Infancia, en diálogo con Sarmento (2007), en Educación Infantil y Relaciones Raciales, con Cruz (2024), Santiago (2013, 2020) y Noguera (2020). Los resultados muestran que las discusiones en Educación Infantil avanzaron dos décadas después de la ley nº 10.639/03. Sin embargo, el trabajo en este contexto investigativo es incipiente desde el punto de vista del marco legal y sus lineamientos. Esto se debe a que la evidencia mostró poca producción en el área, considerando la situación reciente de las políticas y legislaciones de Educación Infantil en materia racial.As discussões relativas à infância, à Educação Infantil – EI – e às relações raciais têm ocupado importante espaço nos debates teóricos e acadêmicos. À vista disso, este trabalho tem como propósito identificar a produção acadêmica que aborda a Educação Infantil e as Relações Étnico-raciais nos últimos cinco anos (2019 a 2023), além de analisar os escopos dessa produção para compreender o que dizem as pesquisas atuais a respeito da temática. Assim sendo, este artigo assume um desenho metodológico de caráter qualitativo, de natureza bibliográfica e exploratória (Gil, 2002; Oliveira, 2010). Para cumprir com os objetivos propostos, realizamos um levantamento das pesquisas científicas que tratam da Educação Infantil e das Relações Étnico-raciais em um recorte temporal de cinco anos (2019-2023) a partir de duas bases de dados: Scielo e Portal de Periódicos da Capes. Os aportes teóricos que ancoram este estudo baseiam-se na Sociologia da Infância, em diálogo com Sarmento (2007), na Educação Infantil e nas Relações Raciais, com Cruz (2024), Santiago (2013, 2020) e Noguera (2020). Nesse sentido, os resultados mostram que as discussões no campo da Educação Infantil avançaram após duas décadas da promulgação da lei n.º 10.639/03. Contudo, os trabalhos feitos nesse contexto de pesquisa são incipientes do ponto de vista do marco legal e das diretrizes dela oriundas.
