Contrasto mi tesis con el ámbito de la ética y, en particular, con la esfera del derecho y la dogmática penal.As a philosophical thesis, determinism seems to threaten our beliefs, practices, and normative institutions. Categories such as censure, praise, responsibility or punishment seem to vanish if we accept that argument. In the framework of a compatibilist version, I argue that we can reconcile the acceptance of certain types of determinism with the defense of the idea of free and responsible action.
