Resumo:The authors present a new case of severetrauma of the pancreas, due to closed abdominal trauma which required urgentexcision surgery. They present the clinicalcase, operative findings and surgicaltreatment, which consisted of urgent atypica/duodenopancreatectomy. Discussion iscentered on the lesiona/ type of pancreatictrauma and its therapeutica/ alternatives.They point out the good postoperativeevolution and the low frequency of this typeof trauma which explains the scarce nationaland international casuistry. They a/so presentcomparative series as regards frequency andmorbimortality.
