| Sumario: | Between February 1991 and Ju/y 1993, 504 laparoscopiccholecystectomies were carried out in patients with gal/bladder and choledochal lithiasis, and acule cholecystitis.Ages ranged between 8 and 85 years; with a media of48; 218 males and 286 fema/es. There was a O, 16mortality. (One patient died 6 hours after the procedurewith a heart pacemaker.)Whenever cholecochal lithiasis was suspected, CRE wascarried out, adn laparoscopic cholecystectomy wasperformed 48 hours later. In 8 cases conventionaltechnique had to be adopted due to difficulties in hilumdisection, inflammatory sclerosis and cholecystoduodenalfistula. No reoperations were needed. There was no legion ofthe biliar vine. As our experience grew, relativecounterindications decreased; only those absolute onesfar any surgery remain. |
