| Resumo: | The interest in this case is based on the fact thatthe patient presented acute abdomen as aconsequence of the insertion of an intrauterinedevice (!UD). The complica/ion consisted of uterusperforatíon, passage to the perifonea/ cavity andpenetration in the same act of an ansa of freesma/1 intestine without causing peritonitis, which asa subsequent complica/ion caused a mechanica/process such as the volvulus of the ansa with theconsequent intestinal occ/usion. |
