| Resumo: | Review of different tactics and techniques in conservative parotidectomy, emphasizing their fundamentalcharacteristics. Techniques individualizing the VII pair are preferabte by reason of their preglandular trunk. The authors point out the usefulness of combining nerve - findingtechniques and extirpation of SCM aponeurosis in the area in which it is attached to the gland. In this manner surgery is oncologically minor and possibilityof tumoral dissemination or nervous wounds is reduced. |
