| Sumario: | The colorectal suture failure has a variable incidence, between 5-10%, although some series report up to 20%. Several risk factors are recognized, including: a distance less than 5 cm from the anal margin, prolonged operative time, difficult anastomosis, renal failure, hypoalbuminemia and anemia. There are several therapeutic options, from the conservative management expectant (antibiotic therapy), drainage collections, endoscopic treatment with stents, clips or vacuum and vacuum devices, and finally the surgery. |
