Descripción
Sumario:This study aimed to determine the relationship between the variables “artisanal mining” and “community development” in Llacuabamba, a rural community in Peru. It adopted a quantitative approach with a correlational level, employing a non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 179 local mining workers, and data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires. The dimensions of the artisanal mining variable were as follows: social, economic, and environmental impact. Likewise, community development also included three dimensions: strategy, comprehensive (holistic), and sustainable. The results revealed a significant relationship between artisanal mining and community development, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.596. Furthermore, all dimensions of artisanal mining exhibited a positive correlation with community development.
