The study population will consist of all children and adolescents living with the Acquired Immunodeficiency Virus in Loreto and enrolled in the HIV-AIDS / STI / Hepatitis prevention and control service. The sample will be the same to the entire population which amounts to 80 children and adolescents (0-17 years) living with the Acquired Immunodeficiency Virus in Loreto and enrolled in the HIV-AIDS / STI / Hepatitis prevention and control service. CONCLUSIONS: At the national level, studies on HIV in children and adolescents are scarce, therefore, considering that Loreto is a region with high HIV prevalence, we consider it relevant to study the mortality and epidemiological clinical characteristics of this vulnerable population.

La población de estudio estará constituida por todos los Niños y adolescentes viviendo con el Virus de Inmunodeficiencia Adquirida en Loreto y enrolados en el servicio de prevención y control de VIH- SIDA/ITS/Hepatitis. La muestra será la misma a toda la población la cual asciende a 80 Niños y adolescentes (0-17 años) viviendo con el Virus de Inmunodeficiencia Adquirida en Loreto y enrolados en el servicio de prevención y control de VIH- SIDA/ITS/Hepatitis. CONCLUSIONES: A nivel nacional los estudios sobre VIH en niños y adolescentes son escasos, por lo cual, considerando que Loreto es una región con alta prevalencia de VIH, consideramos relevante estudiar la mortalidad y las características clínicas epidemiológicas de esta población vulnerable.
