| Summary: | The purpose of the research study was to determine the relationship between leadership and change management in the Punchana District Municipality 2024. It was a basic type study, with a descriptive correlational approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 80 public servants, to whom a survey and a questionnaire were applied as data collection methods. The author concluded that the level of leadership in the Punchana District Municipality was considered regular, with 26%. This shows that public servants perceive that sometimes the assigned tasks are continuously monitored and evaluated. In addition, they point out that they are almost never allowed to organize their time and work activities according to their own criteria. Regarding change management, this received a regular rating of 25%. Respondents perceive that, almost never, changes in the municipality are beneficial or contribute to its competitiveness. In addition, some consider that they lack the necessary skills to adapt to change. Finally, a strong positive correlation was observed between leadership and change management, with a Pearson coefficient of 0.855. Finally, a strong positive correlation was identified between leadership and change management, with a Pearson coefficient of 0.855. The statistical significance (p-value of 0.000) strongly supports the hypothesis that both aspects are significantly related. |
