Sumario:From understanding the limitations that the traditional historiography has had in the anti-clericalism study, the text explores the contributions of father Jeffrey Klaiber for its comprehension, concluding that their investigations helped in a better conceptualization of the phenomenon, proposing new lines for the understanding of the phenomenon in the future. This text can help to get a better historiographic knowledge of the Peruvian anti-clericalism of the 19th century.
