El mercado nacional de la telefonía móvil creció a 31 millones 860 mil líneas móviles en el 2014, lo que significa un crecimiento de 6.4% (1 millón 910 mil líneas entre nuevas). Movistar sigue liderando el mercado con 17.3 millones de líneas, América Móvil (Claro) posee 12.5 millones de líneas, Entel Perú llegó a 1.7 millones y Bitel alcanza las 323 mil líneas. “Este resultado profundiza la tendencia que mostró la telefonía móvil entre el 2012 y el 2013, cuando el ritmo de crecimiento de celulares operativos fue de 2% (580 mil líneas)”, explicó el presidente del organismo regulador, Gonzalo Ruiz Díaz.
