| Sumario: | In 2006, Peru witnessed a significant event in its political history with the direct election of its representatives to the Andean Parliament. However, the author points out that this historic event may have been overshadowed by the general lack of knowledge on the subject and by the crisis that the Andean Community is facing. In this sense, this article offers a detailed analysis of the Andean Parliament, covering its historical evolution from its antecedents to its creation, its influence within the Andean Integration System, the description of its functions, as well as its composition and structure. |
