Sumario:Jesuit priests have always been men with advanced ideas. Their religious order, the Compañia de Jesus, has been committed to the improvement of the quality of mankind, impregnating persons with new values full of justice, science, and faith. Since the Compañia de Jesus was created, it is not surprising that in the different places they worked at they promoted scientific progress. A clear example of this is the development of some microbiological thoughts in Universidad de San Gregorio Magno in the Real Audiencia (Royal Supreme Court) of Quito.
