description La investigación contribuye al ODS N°8 en el cual se enmarca la presente investigación para contribuir al quehacer científico relacionado a labor oportuna e innovadora; siendo el objetivo determinar qué relación existe entre la planificación estratégica y el presupuesto público en un Gobierno Regional del norte del Perú, 2024. Siendo de tipo básica, con una perspectiva cuantitativa y adopta un diseño no experimental transversal, descriptivo y correlacional, conformada la población por un total de 1800 colaboradores del Gobierno Regional de Lambayeque y 30 colaboradores conforman la muestra bajo análisis de las unidades orgánicas de la entidad, siendo un muestreo no probabilístico. Los resultados sugieren una relación positiva y fuerte entre la planificación estratégica y las dimensiones identificadas de programación, formulación, aprobación, ejecución y evaluación. Se concluyó que existe una conexión entre la planificación estratégica y el presupuesto público, infiriendo que el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman de 0.936, lo que indica una relación muy fuerte. Esto evidencia la relevancia de la planificación estratégica para asignar el presupuesto de forma eficiente y coherente.
