Conclusion: Based ¡n histopathological and neurochenfical findings ¡n dopaminergic neurons, Parkinson's discase is due to a suboptinial and chronic reduction of arteria¡ blood flow to the mesencephalon. Therefore, revascularization of the catecholaminergic nuclei is an aim to be considered.Al contrario de la hipótesis sobre una predisposición genética en la patogénesis de la enfermedad de Parkinson, propuesta por muchos investigadores, nosotros creemos que un deterioro del flujo sanguíneo a la sustancia negra es la clave en el proceso patológico primario de esta enfermedad, sin estar relacionado, necesariamente, con el envejecimiento. Conclusión: Basado en hallazgos histopatológicos y neuroquímicos en las neuronas dopaminérgicas, la enfermedad de Parkinson se debe a una reducción subóptima y crónica del flujo sanguíneo arterial al mesencéfalo.
