Descripción
Sumario:This research focuses on showing the complexity that exists in the construction of dissident masculinities with non-heterosexual men from the localities of Guadalajara, Jalisco and Ciudad Hidalgo, Michoacán, whose ethnographic work took place in a period between 2014 and 2016. It’s a mixed methodology that uses semantic networks while recovering in-depth interviews. The approach used was a feminist-queer perspective that puts the analytical categories of gender performativity and dissident masculinities in tension, so we emphasize the need to understand this juxtaposition as a complex and dynamic process. As a result of research, we find that various discursive practices coexist and proliferate that subjectify and take root in the constitution and recognition of the "masculinity" of the subjects who practice it.
