| Sumario: | Education is a right not only in terms of its provision, but also of its quality, because this determines the benefits received. The aim of the research was to analyze the quality of basic education from the perception of the mothers from the Indigenous municipality of Huehuetla, Puebla. The research was conducted under a mixed approach, 92 women were interviewed through the questionnaire technique and semi-structured interviews to estimate the educational quality perception index (EQPI) of basic education from the analysis of entry, procedure, exit and evaluation processes. The results demonstrated that the perception of the quality of basic education was average (EQPI=0.67). The stage of access (0.6) and evaluation (0.6) obtained a lower score, because there are deficiencies in terms of technological infrastructure, cultural and linguistic curriculum design within the municipality under study. The educational scholarship programs played a key role in the access to education (0.94) and the external evaluation of the impact of education within its communities, obtained the lowest score (0.44). It is concluded that it is necessary to improve the functional social integration relations considered by the contexts of rural-Indigenous poverty |
