The study shows thetransformation of the Mexican pharmacy that occurred during these decades,characterized by the adoption of industrial medicine and the abandonment ofthe use of medicinal plants, as well as by the implementation of pharmaceuticallegislation based on modern scientific principles.El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el caso del medicamento conocido enMéxico a inicios del siglo XX como Específico Zendejas, sus característicasprincipales, además de los litigios legales y controversias que tuvieron lugarrespecto a su distribución y comercialización. El estudio muestra latransformación de la farmacia mexicana ocurrida durante estas décadas,caracterizada por la adopción del medicamento industrial y el abandono delempleo de plantas medicinales, así como por la implementación de una legislaciónfarmacéutica fundamentada en principios científicos modernos.L’objectif de cet article est d’analyser le cas du médicament connu au Mexique audébut du XXe siècle sous le nom de Spécifique Zendejas, ses principalescaractéristiques, ainsi que les litiges et controverses juridiques qui ont eu lieuconcernant sa distribution et sa commercialisation.
