Sumario:A non-linear reduce gravity model is used for the study of the circulation in the Bay of Campeche. The equations of the model are solved numerically on a staggered uniform grid of 30 km resolution. Data on the inflow-outflow through the Yucatan Channel and Florida Strait were imposed as boundary conditions. Results indicated the presence of cyclonic eddies in the Bay of Campeche with a westward propagation.
