| Sumario: | Eastern Cuba features relief differences of more than 8 km between the Sierra Maestra and the Cayman Trough. We carry out terrain corrections to Hayford zone 02 (eg. 166. 7 km) in three high-relief areas and one flat area assuming a density of 2,67 t/m3 Integration was done over radii of 5 km and 10 km. The terrain correction may be as large as 70 mGal in the Sierra Maestra region and may reach 11 mGal in the Sierra de Nipe-Cristal. The influence of nearby topography on the Bouguer anomalies is discussed. |
