Sumario:Automation and the use of digital devices have modified and altered the organization and modalities of employment, affecting large sectors of the population, either through the su-ppression of work spaces or through the mutation of labor relations. Therefore, this arti-cle shows the results of a case study focused on Uber drivers in Mexico, asking about the particularities of these labor agreements. Contractual review and interviews with service operators were used; The results are interpreted through Enrique de la Garza’s concept of non-classical work in dialogue with the neo-Marxist notion of labor relations. Among the main findings are a peculiar and novel form of subordination and control that drivers are subjected to, as well as the alienating mechanisms through which the company obtains its profits.
