Descripción
Sumario:The continuous growth of applications with sensors, wireless transmission, network communication and computing technologies has allowed conventional power generation and transmission systems to evolve into smart grids. This has caused the increase in the amount of data accumulated in the energy sector. The integration of renewable energies, e.g., photovoltaic and wind, energy storage systems and electric vehicles in the distribution system has generated the concept of microgrid. Therefore, it is necessary to establish energy management strategies. This article presents the proposed trends for intelligent energy management. In general, a micro network is described, problems and trends to control them are discussed. In addition, a study on intelligent energy management based on big data is presented.
