Descripción
Sumario:This article presents the final results of research on sexual diversity and heteronormativity in education. The general objective was to interpret the practices and discourses about sexual diversity in the initial training of future teachers. The study was conducted at the Escuela Normal Superior de México with a qualitative – namely ethnographic – approach. The research techniques were observations of school practice and interviews with teachers and students. The most important findings were that there is a normalized teaching of sexuality in teacher education; thus, this hegemonic sexual model establishes the teacher as a heteronormative model at school. Key words: heteronormativity, sexual diversity, teacher training, homophobia, sexuality.
