| Sumario: | This paper addresses the debate relating to COVID passports as a tool to build a new normality. We wonder if these passports could be a foundation for creating conditions in civic rights and freedoms and, in turn, protect public health. Different proposals and positions are analyzed, and by doing so, verifying the legitimacy of COVID passports based on what we have experienced during the months of the pandemic. This idea evokes other health documents that are proliferating in the digital age: vaccination cards, genetic passports, and biological passports. Analyzing the corresponding debates, we observe that solid scientific knowledge could support a legitimation in labor court: the protection and improvement of occupational health. This analysis shows that these documents are a reality; for this reason, the labor legal system cannot remain on the sidelines, but it must offer a regulation that guarantees non-discrimination, protects privacy and data, and favors the personal autonomy of workers. |
