| Resumo: | This article tells the life of a bookseller in New Spain during the 18th century, on the basis of his file in the Bienes de Difuntos (Dead Men’s Assets). He was a person with a distinctive form of distributing books that had not been documented and was outside the normal trade of printers and booksellers, but not of the circuit of commercial relations for this type of merchandise at the time. The bookseller, who is the subject of this study, mainly distributed books to groups of professionals in Mexico City, as can be seen from the record of books made at his death. This document is transcribed and the editions registered are identified. |
