Descripción
Sumario:This work regards the possible historical sources used by Domingo de San Anton Muñon Chimalpahin to conform the figure of Ecatepec as altepetl during the Postclassic and the first half of the 16th century. This idea is registered in four of his works: The third and seventh relations of the different original stories, The Brief memorial about the founding of the city of Colhuacan, and his Diary. Besides, this work explains the type of altepetl Ecatepec was according to the information offered by Chimalpahin; and what could be the reason that prompted him to integrate this locality into the stories to be preserved for future generations.
