| Sumario: | This research considers that one of the elements that can influence the citizens socialization process, contributes to modify some negative perceptions about the public and political, also provides the increasing of participation and improves the information quality they have, it is the civic education that is sought through public education. Hence, it analyzes the type of citizen training that is encouraged by the State in public education at secondary level, through the subject “Civic and Ethical Training”. It starts from a mixed quantitative-qualitative methodological design in order to identify the citizenship components configuration to determine the citizen training trends towards a liberal or republican perspective. |
