Descrição
Resumo:The article reflects on the issue of immigrant residential housing in the rental market of the Metropolitan District of Quito, based on the analysis of the living conditions and geographic location of 1 797 migrant people. It seeks to understand the determinants of its residential location in spaces of the peripheral centrality and central periphery of the city, by proposing that their residential choices are determined by structural factors that respond to the logic of the land and housing market, urban dynamics, and their socioeconomic and migratory statuses. The investigation uses a mixed methodology: quantitative, qualitative and socio-spatial analysis methods.
